The percussive guitars of Bobey’s newest track “Bang Chasing” are what immediately grab your attention. Coupled with sweet, breathy vocals and slowly-developing layers of plucked guitar, though, the overall sound maintains an element of inviting smoothness. Overall, the track remains a case of beautiful juxtaposition from beginning to end, one that’s further magnified as the song takes an instrumental turn three minutes in — first devolving into a tangle of jittery notes, the track finally unfolds into a contemplative, almost relaxing haze.
