Blogmas Day 9 - Head To Toe Styling Challenge With Marisota..

By Hollysbeautybox @hollysbeautybox
A wee email popped into my inbox a few weeks ago from the lovelies over at Marisota, asking me to deck myself out in head to toe Marisota and style it with my preferred hair and makeup.
Blogmas Day 9 - Head To Toe Styling Challenge With Marisota..
They called it a challenge, I like a challenge... CHALLENGE ACCEPTED.

Shapewear is definitely essential with a figure hugging dress but just to give a little bit of advice from someone who has made every mistake in the book - go for medium control. I know it's so tempting to go for complete control but I promise you, if you value the use of your lungs and other vital organs, go for medium!
I loved this dress because people with a pear shape like me should always accentuate their waist to help pull your figure together without looking bottom heavy. Seeing as I'm a curvy girl, sleeves are a must for me which is why this dress was ideal.
Blogmas Day 9 - Head To Toe Styling Challenge With Marisota.. I know there's Gold on the dress but I wanted to add some contrast which is why I went for silver shoes & accessories.
The silver shoes are by sole diva and come in a EEE fitting which is ideal for those of you who like me, struggle to find shoes that have straps that will fit a wide foot or tall arch.  These ones are super comfortable and fit like a dream!
The bag adds some extra glam to the outfit, it is Christmas afterall! and the bracelet & necklace bring it all together with a touch of class and elegance.
Here is a list of everything from Marisota just in case you fancied a wee neb... (a nosy around for all you non Scottish folks!)
Mark Heyes Lace Jacquard Dress
Sole Diva Silver T Bar Shoes
Nude & Black Shapewear
Jewel Box Clutch Bag
Bracelet
As for hair and makeup, I went for something I knew would look classy and yet fancy at the same time as this dress really is gorgeous.
I simply straightened my hair then tied it in a messy bun at the back, before loosening off the look and pulling out small sections of hair to make it look more natural.
For Makeup, I kept the eyes pretty simple and clean with a pretty basic eye to make my eyes look wide awake. I made sure to have flawless skin (always make sure to set your foundation with powder, particularly in Winter!) and finished the look with a slick of plum coloured lippy.
Such a gorgeous look (If I do say so myself) that I really look forward to wearing over Christmas & into the New Year.
What Wintry trends are you loving right now? How would you have styled this?
All My Love
