Blogmas Day 4 - Get My Festive Face #1

By Hollysbeautybox @hollysbeautybox
Well HELLO festive makeup. I really have been excited to wear Christmassy makeup since about March LOLZ.
I am doing a "Get my festive face" series where I will show you a few makeup looks and tell you what products I used to achieve the look. Here we go!
Blogmas Day 4 - Get My Festive Face #1 So for this look, I thought I would go for some loose waves (using my Glamoriser Black Diamond Straighteners) and go for a power brow with false lashes and a nude lip with a hint of shimmer.
For skin, I opted to use my Makeup Atelier HD Foundation which I applied all over my face using a Real Techniques Beauty Blender. This Foundation is dewy without looking oily and so is my fave for Christmas. I then went in with my Smashbox concealer to even out any dark circles and blemishes. At this time of year, I always get a good amount of redness, particularly on my cheeks but actually, I quite like it. It makes me feel all Kate Winslet-ty.
I then moved onto brows where I used my "Eye Of Horus" brow define where I used the spooly to brush through the hairs and then drew in some hairs using the twisty up pencil.  I am amazing at describing things huh?
I went a bit bigger on the brows mainly because I needed them threaded and they were out of control but also because a festive face is normally all about the lip but I really wanted to change up the look and let my brows do the talking (how amazing would talking brows be? LOLZ!)
As for eyes, I used my Makeup Atelier palette. This is literally theeee most pigmented palette I have ever used. I used the orange toned brown with the mid brown packed on top and applied some under the bottom lash line. I then put on some lovely lashes from Kiss and lashings of the new Maxfactor Velvet touch mascara.
I then used a makeup atelier blush palette on my cheeks, my Laura Mercier shimmer bloc and finished the look with a Smashbox lip liner and Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfector.
Bada bing, bada boom! Simple!
What kind of look would you like to see next?
H x
