Blogmas || Day 20 || Plan for Christmas Day

By Shimmerofpink @shimmerofpink
Hellooo shimmers,

As children me and my brother were always up very early much to our parents delight! Now that we are both a little bit older (still children at heart), we tend to have more appropriate awakenings, but still before 9! It is a tradition in our family to open our presents when we get up in the morning in our Pjs. I love it, just lounging about in pajamas and open gifts and giving gifts. My dad always has either a video camera or a normal camera which makes for lovely bed-hair and baggy eyes footage.

Then we will tend to watch some Christmas TV or play a game we got for Christmas or my brother always gets lego or something that he has to build, which without doubt is always built by lunch, no matter the size!! and await the arrival of family.  Usually we have family for Christmas lunch but this year it is just the four of us, which I am looking forward to but it can make it a little quiet.

The turkey and all the other bits and bobs will be put in the oven, normally done by my mum, but this year I am taking on the challenge, wish me luck!!

We will then go and get dolled up and set the table for Lunch, in saying lunch it is usually around 3! I love setting the table and making it look festive with crackers, Christmas candlesticks, Christmas runner and napkins. I love crackers; the hats, bad jokes and pointless items concealed inside!! The one thing I'm not so keen on is the tiding up of the dishes, I am hoping that by me making the lunch I am excluded from tidying up!

Then we stuff ourselves full of food and then it is time to relax on the sofa watching all the Christmas TV shows and movies. We always have a really relaxed, chilled back Christmas. Unless we have all the family in which case it can sometimes be manic!!

I want to hear about your plans for Christmas? Any traditions in your family?
