Welcome to Blogmas Day 18! Can you believe Christmas is literally a week away? Ahh!! so excited!
ANYWAYS! I know there are a million and one Christmas parties on this weekend so I thought I would show you how to get my festive face.
Apologies for the rubbish lighting, it was night time and I was taking a quick selfie before I headed out on a Christmas night out with my amigo's. I alwaaaays go for this look at Christmas because I love it so. In fact, it's my favorite face to work. I'm like the mask. DO THE MASK DANCE!
Anyhoooo, here's what I used...
If ever I want to perfect my base, I always head straight for Nars. I used the Nars Radiance enhancing primer all over the skin and let it sit for a few minutes before applying Nars Sheer Glow with my Real Techniques expert face brush and beauty blender. Normally, I prefer to use my hands for applying this foundation but I didn't want to get dirty hands LOLZ.
Once I had applied my base, I went straight in with the brows, using the Anastasia Dip Brow Promade (where da funk has this been all my life?) and the matching brush to go with it. This brush is amazing and I'm tempted to buy another one just as a wee backup. I drew in some fine hairs using the pointed edge on the brush and then went in with the full brush to fill in. One of my brows looks strange (like I've missed the edge a bit) but it didn't look like this throughout the night, damn photography!
After the brows were done, I went onto eyeshadow using this beaut of a palette...
This is the NARSissist Matte & Shimmer palette and isn't it byooootiful? I used some of the champagne shimmery color all over the lid and added a sweep of the matte brown to the crease. That was literally all I did for eyeshadow. I added a slick of liquid eyeliner (Maybelline drama of course) and a coating of mascara before applying some Kiss eyelashes.
For the rest of the skin, I set my foundation with the rimmel stay matte powder and then added some blush. I used my new Hourglass highlighter blush with a Real techniques blush brush for this and then finished with a slick of Mac Ruby Woo (which BTW is showing as a strange color in the product image, FML!).
I then set all of my makeup with my Urban Decay setting spray.
And there you have it for my face!
For hair, I used my Glamoriser black diamond straighteners to add some curls and worked a deep side parting, I love these straighteners, my curls lasted all night (and I didn't even use hairspray!).
What makeup looks do you love to rock over Christmas?
