Ladies and gentlemen, men and women, draftniks, and self-proclaimed experts that enjoy predicting the Pittsburgh Steelers draft choices each season...The Pittsburgh Sports Forum presents...
Mock-Draft-Challenge.png
This is the 2nd year that we have held this contest. Last years contest was a selfish exploration to create something that was impossible to win for gloating purposes due to a practice hone hated which is Mock Drafts.... This season? Steelreign and Kipper have taken over and are bringing you an actual contest. It's not you against a petty former owner, it's Person against Person. Head to Head.
The Details:
1. Register at Pittsburgh Sports Forum (if you haven't already done so). Start a Thread on the "Steelers Talk" Board in The Steelers Forum, choose the "Draft :" Prefix and choose your picks. You can edit your picks as much as you would like up until the day of the Draft. This "Thread" is your contest entry.
2. Make Selections for all 7 Rounds of the Pittsburgh Steelers Draft. If the Steelers make a trade and acquire an extra draft pick, it won't count against you, so don't worry about making that selection. You may if you'd like but we won't count it
3. There is a "Bonus Round" (which we recommend everyone to take part in). In the "Bonus Round" you are to select the entire 1st Round of the NFL draft and those points will be added to your Total Score. So, if you do a poor job selecting the Steelers picks, you can redeem yourself with a mastery of the entire 1st Round f the NFL Draft.
4. Steelreign will provide a Prize for the winner ONLY if we get 25 people to take part in this contest. The Prize is an Autographed Picture of Greg Lloyd .

If we don't get 25 people to take part then the winner gets bragging rights and a banner for underneath his name :
Rules :
1. You may only start 1 Thread to post your picks. You may edit the Original Post in the thread as often as you want up until the day of the Draft - April 25, 2013 or post revised selections throughout your thread as many times as you would like. If this is the case, then the very last post in your Thread will be counted as your "Final" picks.
2. Your Contest Thread must be made on the Steelers Talk board in The Steelers Forum at PSF. If it is made anywhere else it will not be recognized as being part of the contest and won't count.
3. We Recommend that you make a selection for all 7 Rounds of the Steelers Draft. We also recommend that you take part in selecting picks for the entire 1st Round of the NFL draft, however this is not a requirement. if you choose to not make any picks for the 1st Round of the NFL Draft, points will not be counted against you. However if you leave off a pick for the Pittsburgh Steelers, that pick will be counted as "incorrect" and against your total points, just as if you had gotten the pick wrong if you had tried.
4. If the Pittsburgh Steelers acquire a pick via a Trade in the Draft or they surrender a pick via Trade in the Draft, you will not be penalized for either not making the additional selection or the selection that you did make in the Round that was traded away.
5. If the Pittsburgh Steelers end up with for example, 2-3rd Round Picks and you selected the correct player but he was drafted with the additional Pick that the Steelers acquired, you will be given credit for selecting the correct player. We aren't going to not pick. Adding an extra selection in a round can slightly alter when the Steelers pick a player they were possibly planning to pick the entire time.
6. In the Bonus Round for the 1st Round of the NFL picks, if a team Trades up to select a certain player, you won't be penalized for missing that selection since you were ultimately choosing the best player for the team drafting in that position, however, we will reward you 50% of the points you were to receive if that team ends up selecting the player that you chose for that pick. Half of these Mock Drafts are selecting the player best for the team and the other half is determining where the best talent will go since teams will draft BPA (best Player Available) over needs. We recognize this and feel that you deserve rewarded for getting half correct.
7. Don't move teams around in the NFL draft and assume trades or add rounds and subtract them for the Pittsburgh Steelers. We may add the ability to do this next season, but for now, let's keep it a little more on the simplistic side until we can figure out a well crafted plan of attack for dealing with "guessing" on Trading up and trading down/Adding rounds and subtracting rounds.
