Bloc Party Gave a High Energy Show at Irving Plaza [Photos]

Almost 10 years after first discovering them in college, the time finally came for me to catch Bloc Party in concert. Though I hadn’t heard much from their new album, it didn’t matter — I knew they would be just as stimulating to my ears. I went. They were. They had high energy, great vocals from English lead, Kele Okereke, and unbelievable crowd engagement. They opened up and closed the night performing songs from their new album and basically all of their best past hits. Bloc Party rocked NYC last week, and I rocked with them — just as I imagined I would.
