Noise rock quartet BLKE came up in the London underground, before relocating to Berlin, so it is no wonder that they came up with an amalgam of shoegaze a la the Jesus and Mary Chain and early 70s Krautrock. Satellite, the lead single for self-titled album, is a gnarly excursion through noise and surf-inspired melodies, a clash that could have become a major trainwreck, but became an off-kilter sonic journey instead.
BLKE:
Jakob Buraczewski: vocals, guitar
Michael Drummer: drums
Alex Kozmidi: bass
Steffen Kahles: guitar, synthesizer
Satellite is released via Tonzonen.. The album will be available on May 22 (vinyl, CD, digital).
