From Russell Brewing in Surrey comes their "Black Lager". The beer pours a deep chestnut brown colour with a tan head. The aroma consists of roasted malts, chocolate, nuts and sweetness. The flavour is of roasted malts, chocolate, mild ash, mild smoke, nuts, sweetness and low bitterness. The alcohol content comes in at 5%. This is an easy drinking Black Lager with just enough flavour for the beer geek but not so much to scare away the average beer fan.
Commercial Description: Oh man, this is the ocean of beers. Big, Dark and Endless. Once called Schwarzbier, we Canadians prefer Black Lager. Midnight Wheat with Pilsen and Dark Munich Malts make it genuine. Our fearless brewer dove into the abyss and arose from the depths with this great beer.
