File this under “Liberals are such nice, peace-loving, and tolerant people.”

California Catholic Daily reports that on March 3, 2014, a group of 13 students led a peaceful pro-life outreach effort on the campus of the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), using signs displaying images of abortion victims to begin conversations with other students about abortion.

But the peaceful event was interrupted by an enraged UCSB professor of Feminist Studies Mireille Miller-Young. The professor attacked a female pro-lifer, 16-year-old Thrin Short, and snatched the pro-life sign from Short’s hands. Miller-Young then carried the sign off through the campus, flanked by her radical feminist students.

Police officers later found the remains of the sign, which had been destroyed.

Thrin Short is a member of Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust.

Mireille Miller-Young’s UCSB faculty webpage says she has a Ph.D. in American History and History of the African Dispora from New York University, and is an associate professor of Feminist Studies at UCSB.

She lists as among her “areas of study” such profound intellectual subjects as “Pornography; Sex Work; Black Film, Popular Culture and Art; Feminist & Queer Theory; African American & African Diaspora.”

Normally, universities require at least one PUBLISHED book for promotion from assistant professor to associate professor. But Miller-Young’s research and publication accomplishment consists of an as-yet unpublished thought “forthcoming” manuscript, A Taste for Brown Sugar: Black Women, Sex Work and Pornography.

Another case of “black skin privilege” or, in the parlance of political correctness, “affirmative action.”
