A lot of people and popular companies often frowns upon the word BitTorrent whenever they hear it because all they can them think of the file sharing system is as a distributor of illegal content. Well, we can’t blame them because it’s the truth. But, I think that opinion is about to change very soon.

I’ve always wondered how easy it would be if we could use BitTorrent properly to share files and download legitimate content. Folks at  BitTorrent already have an ongoing project to make that happen by delivering official content packages from well-known bands to promote BitTorrent as a healthy way of sharing. The latest one to join this project was my favorite band, Linkin Park.

World’s most popular rock band, Linkin Park and Open Labs have teamed up with BitTorrent to release their new StageLight music software as a free download BitTorrent Bundle to help musicians achieve greater goodness. This package come with exciting additional contents including patches from the band’s library,  nine tutorials, an interview with Mike Shinoda, and an exclusive 10% discount on SoundSlate Pro equipment, in addition to the StageLight music software, gratis. Users can download and unlock this bundle using their email or by making a donation.
