and now on to more of the cruise. on the fifth day of the cruise, we anchored at george town, grand cayman. i feel in love with it, the very moment i set my eyes on it. however, everything was very expensive. our stop at grand cayman was the only port that we did an excursion. my dad's cousin went on trip advisor, and found a private stingray eco tour. we spent part of the morning at stingray city, feeding wild stingrays in a sandbar in the middle of the ocean. jeremy ended up having his hand sucked on by a very large stingray, who was attempting to take food out of his hand, but missed. it even caused him to bleed a little.

after being at stingray city, we headed to part of a barrier reef to do some private snorkeling. it was pretty amazing seeing all the fish, conch shells, and stingrays swim by. about an hour later our tour guide Neil, took us to a beach where in the early morning you can find large starfish. we only saw a couple while we were at the beach but they were pretty amazing. we even had the chance to hold a jellyfish that no longer had the stinging potential. to end our 5 hour excursion, we had a lovely lunch at a local restaurant, and took a slow drive back into the harbor where we were able to see blue iguanas sunbathing themselves in the hot afternoon sun.
have a wonderful day!
