Best Of: Makeup Tools

By Hollysbeautybox @hollysbeautybox
Hi everyone!
Im often asked which makeup brushes and tools I use when doing my makeup.
First of all, I use simple brushes, all of which are mid range price wise.
Best Of: Makeup Tools
The first brand Im going to mention is one you've probably all heard of, and that is Real Techniques.
Real Techniques is a range of brushes designed by fellow blogger/vlogger Samantha Chapman from Pixiwoo. Sam is a makeup artist and works with her sister Nic on makeup tutorials etc on youtube.  The brushes are all synthetic and are honestly some of the best brushed I have ever used.
The set i use most is the Real Techniques Core Collection which has four brushes - Contour brush, detailer brush, pointed foundation brush and buffing brush.
In terms of washing these, i use dr bronners brush cleaner once a week and they wash and dry brilliantly, the brushes never shed and they always keep their soft, yet firm, shape.
Another great tool from Real Techniques is the Miracle Complexion Sponge.  This is an orange sponge and is ideal for making your makeup look flawless. It really helps to minimize the appearance of pores.
Another really great range of brushes is from EcoTools.
Now these all come individually packaged in green material packets. You can reuse these, but i don't because the product from the brush transfers onto the pack. Anyways, these are all eco friendly, 100% cruelty free and are super soft yet firm.
All the handles on the brushes are wooden, which i love because i feel like im using something high quality and sturdy!
My favorite tools from EcoTools are the flat foundation brush, full eyeshadow brush and domed bronzer brush (which i actually use for powder to set my foundation).
In terms of eyelash curlers, I must admit, I rarely use them nowadays because I always use a curling mascara so i don't really need to use one, but the best one I used previously was one from Bobbi Brown.
For facial hair removal, i recommend Nair. I rarely get any hair on my face but if i do, this takes care of it straight away.
Aside from that, I use baby wipes from Simple and an eyebrow comb which you can get from most brands!
What are your favorite makeup tools?
