I definitely left some performances off this list, but that’s happened with every list. I’ve held hard on that 10, and not expanding to some 11 or 12, because I can’t Sophie’s Choice my way to ten. I acknowledge that my 11-20 choices would look great, but these are the top ten.

I’m going with Bateman. I think he proved that over the course of four seasons, he was the perfect casting choice for the role. He was always supposed to be smart, but not the kind of calculating crime lord you’d obviously suspect. Often, his work got overshadowed by the women of his series, Garner and linney, who just delivered a knockout turn after a knockout turn. But, as my last opportunity to recognize him, I feel very comfortable putting him on top.
