2011 was a huge year for me. It all started a little earlier than 2011 though, when I went to Hawaii in October, story short, that NYE I already cheered for happiness and lots of love with my man. When I came back home, we went through several trips Barcelona-Amsterdam and after a couple months I decided it was about time! I moved to the Netherlands to live with my boyfriend the very last day of April 2011. I started learning Dutch to be able to get a good job, we got a Chihuahua named Moonshine and life was finally where it had to be. The next months, I got a few jobs that only required me to speak English and I went to school for Dutch. In August I started an internship in Social Media at Fashiolista. The 22nd of September Moonshine was hit by a car and that was definitely the worst moment of 2011. It was horrible, as you can imagine. I also opened this blog! One month later, a little surprise named Ohana came home, you all know the princess. November was just a slow month in cold Amsterdam… And now I am ending 2011 with a big smile on my face because I know that’s the year that life really showed me what had reserved for me!
I am grateful for my family because they have supported through all my decisions, I am thankful that I can stand by myself and say I am a grown-up and I am thankful for my soulmate and love of my life. We won’t be spending NYE together as he is still in India and I am still in Barcelona but hey, who said any other day can’t be special?
Cheers for a 2012 that will have to be very good to beat this 2011!
