Best Macaroni and Cheese Recipe Ever

This is the best Macaroni and Cheese recipe ever. Forget the box stuff, this awesome homemade recipe will have you licking your plate!

Best Macaroni and Cheese Recipe

It’s easy to throw together. In fact, hubs is the one who makes this one in our house.

Creamy and cheesy, it’s the perfect choice for using up all those Indiana farmers’ market tomatoes! We’ve made it with and without the ‘maters but we prefer them in it.

We’ve tweaked this recipe from the Every Day with Rachel Ray magazine to fit our tastes.

Homemade Macaroni and Cheese Ingredients

4 Pieces Bacon, chopped
12 oz. Penne Paste
2 1/4 Cups Milk
1/2 teaspoon Turmeric (optional–we’ve been out and have yet to try)
6 oz. Cream Cheese
2 Cups Cheddar Cheese
6 oz. Cherry Tomatoes (optional–but really good!)
Salt and Pepper to taste

How To Make The Best Macaroni and Cheese Recipe

Cook Bacon, drain. Chop.

Boil Pasta until cooked. Drain.

Bring milk to a simmer, whisk in Turmeric, Cream Cheese, and Milk. We use more milk than they call for to make it creamier. Stir until it melts–don’t boil.

Add in Pasta, Bacon, and Tomatoes.

Heat through and serve!
