A lot of great free game apps made its’ way over to Google Play this year. Some of them even managed to break records by making millions of downloads. If you plan on browsing the Android app market, you’ll have to spend a whole lot of time to find the best of the best stuff. Don’t worry, I’m about to make it easier for you.
Check out the list of games that I’ve been playing on my smartphone so far this year, without spending a dime. Most of these apps are new and some are not. But, I guarantee you they are all very addictive and fun.
Temple Run 2
The sequel to the highly successful Imangi game, Temple Run landed on Google Play earlier this year. Getting over 50 million downloads in just 13 days, this game took over almost every Android device around the world. I’ve been playing this game almost everyday and I still does. It’s a ride worth while.
Freeze!
The game won the Indie Prize Europe 2013 award. Yes, it’s that good. Alllowing gamers to break the laws of physics, this game brings a lot of fun. Sadly, you only get about 25 levels for free. You’ll have to pay to get the rest of the levels. Still it’s worth downloading.
Bad Piggies
IGN called this the “The best title Rovio has released yet”. I think that’s true. I couldn’t keep my hands off this game ever since I installed it. And it’s entirely different from Angry Birds. There are hundreds of levels to play. However most of them are really too easy.
Angry Birds Star Wars
If you’ve missed this game, you haven’t seen the best yet. This one is a must have game, especially if you’re a fan of Star Wars movies.
Raging Thunder 2
This is a game for the hardcore racing fans. If you could patiently deal with few ads, you can have lots of fun buying cars, upgrading them and racing in different tracks in a derby style.
Subway Surfers
This is the kiddy version of the Temple Run. If you are too afraid to have a run at Temple Run, you should definitely try this.
Cut the Rope FULL FREE
This new version of the super addictive game packs 14 boxes with 350 levels. That’s countless hours for your to kill with this app. Play the game once, and try not to play it for one day. I’m still trying.
Zombies & Trains
Killing zombies has never been fun. It’s not a game with full HD graphics and gameplay. But it’s certainly addictive. Your only goal in this game is to kill zombies using Trains as a weapon. Yeah, that’s crazier than it sounds.
Jetpack Joyride
Suit up with a JetPack and enjoy the ride. Millions of gamers are already addicted to this game. Come join.
Candy Crush Saga
The best puzzle game you can find for Android. If you’ve enjoyed classic games like Jewels, this is probably a must have game for you. I’m still trying it out. And it’s pretty addictive too. Just try not to scratch your screen.
Drag Racing
More than 50 cars to go head to head. You’ll need to have some basic knowledge about cars to tune the cars for the best performance. Customization options are actually pretty great for an Android game.
Shadow Gun 2
Need a super cool shooter? Then this is for you. It could take a lot of free space but this HD game brings console quality gameplay and graphics to your smartphone. Be sure to close your mouth while playing this game so you wont drool.
