Besan Ka Halwa Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup Besan/gram flour
  • ½ cup Ghee
  • ½ cup Sugar to taste
  • 1/4 cup Chopped or  coarsely grounded cashews, almonds, pistachio
  • 1/2 cup Boiling water
  • 1.5 cup warm milk
  • ¼ teaspoon cardamom

Preparation:


  • Boil the water and milk in a separate pan.
  • Keep aside.

Method:

  1. Heat ghee in a pan; add gram flour and sauté on low heat, stirring continuously, for 15-20 minutes over low heat. 
  2. Cook till you get roasted aroma.
  3. Add sugar and keep stirring till it melts.
  4. Add raisins, almonds, and nuts and mix well.
  5. Add the boiling water and stir. Cook till the water gets absorbed.
  6. Add warm milk and cardamom powder and mix well.
  7. Cook the mixture till it starts leaving the sides of the pan.
  8. Garnished with nuts and serve hot.
