Bert Jansch: 1943 – 2011

Bert Jansch,, eminent UK folk musician, is dead at 67. He died in a hospice in Hampstead after a long battle with cancer. He was a founding member of Pertangle, an influential folk band. His best known song is Blackwaterside, which was plagiarized by Jimmy Page who turned it into Black Mountain Side for Led Zeppelin. Jansch was the opening act for Neil Young's solo tour in 2010.
