Benefit Stay Don’t Stray

By Sparklingker @sparklingker

Woo hoo, almost mid week!! Such a relief that the cool change rocked up a few days ago. It was starting to feel like the heat would never go away. I would look at the weather forecast and everyday would be like 30+. What a drainer!! I was sent the Benefit Stay Don’t Stray for trial, I have been using it for around 2 weeks now and I thought it’s time for a review. The Benefit Stay Don’t Stray is an eye primer which can be used on the eyelids and under the eye. I recently reviewed Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer which did crease in hot weather after a few hours. During the 8 day hot streak we had in Melbourne, I used this product everyday and not one day did it crease in the hot weather. Pretty impressive hey? I was pretty surprised myself. My face would be sliding off but my eyeshadow remained and still looked quite lovely by the end of the day. It does deliver on its claim!

Benefit Stay Don't Stray primer

Stay-put primer for concealers & eyeshadows. This dual-action power primer works 360° around the eyes to make concealers and eyeshadows stay put! Concealers don’t crease, eyeshadows stay vibrant and true… you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it!

The packaging is a 10ml pump tube. A pump applicator is great for hygiene. If you do end up buying this, make sure you don’t press too hard. My first few times, I pressed all the way down and wasted so much product. I believe tge new packaging for this primer is a “dip & dab” wand for easier application.

Benefit Stay Don't Stray primer What I like about this primer:

  • Lasts all day and I have not experienced any creasing
  • Works great with eyeshadows
  • Matt finish
  • Applies smoothly
  • Comes in two tones, light/medium and medium/deep

This is a great eyeshadow primer. I am really enjoying not having any creases. Having said that, I don’t really use this under the eyes. I find that it settles in the corner creases, making it look like I have wrinkly eyes. This primer retails for $45 and is available at Benefit counters.

Have you tried this Benefit primer?

This product was sent to me for review purposes, this has not influenced my opinion. It really didn’t crease!!
