Ben Revere plays for the Philadelphia Phillies. Last night they played the Reds but not before the horrific events that happened in Boston yesterday afternoon. Ben Revere made sure he kept Boston in his heart and on our minds.
Then he went out and made a ridiculous catch that for just a moment made me smile. It’s another reason why I think that sports are the great equalizer. In times of pain, sports can help ease that pain if just for a short while.
Ben Revere didn’t need to do this, but he did and I thank him for that. For a short time last night my mind was able to drift away from Boston and I probably needed that. We should all tip our cap to him this morning.
