When London native Amelia Bushell and Connecticuter Thomas Servidone met at an open mic night a year and a half ago, they quickly started dreaming of big things. They began recording together and found a connection that would amount to far more than future open mic nights. Within a year, the duo released their debut EP, The Boat of the Fragile Mind, and to put it simply, we’ve fallen in love. This past month, they joined us at Electric Lady Studios in Manhattan for the latest episode of Buzzsessions. ‘Buzzsessions’ is a live session series made by The Wild Honey Pie. With each new episode, we travel with a different band to a different part of New York City and record sometimes-intimate/sometimes-wild versions of two or three songs. This Buzzsession was shot at legendary Manhattan recording studio Electric Lady Studios.
