Belinda Chorley Celebrity Corsetiere, I recently had the pleasure of interviewing British designer and corsetiere Belinda Chorley, owner and founder of Beyond Burlesque. Equipped with a witty sense of humour and a great deal of insight into a world of supposed glamour, glimpsed by a select few; this gifted couturier left me feeling both impassioned and inspired.

Gaining recognition in the 80′s as stylist for mainstream bands and artists at the forefront of British pop-culture, such as the Pet Shop Boys and Dead or Alive; a decade later Chorley successfully ran an award-winning fetish and club wear store named ‘Snog on Rocks’. One might argue that ‘Snog on Rocks’ and the repopularisation of corsets during the late 80′s/early 90′s (sparked by the likes of Madonna and Cyndi Lauper) was a catalyst for her later exploration of said restrictive wear. Her clear, unquestionable dexterity, ensured a working relationship with Dame Vivienne Westwood, now spanning over two decades.
