Belgian Rye IPA (Collabrewation) – Callister Brewing (Luppolo Brewing)

By Mike @mikescraftbeer

Luppolo Brewing is still waiting for their building permit but they have been doing test batches to shore up what their lineup will be when they open. Recently Luppolo Brewing was able to do a collaboration brew at Callister Brewing in Vancouver. The Collabrewation was called "Belgian Rye IPA". The beer pours a cloudy copper orange colour with and off white head. The aroma consists of tropical fruit, melon, rye, sweetness and floral hops. The flavour is of citrus rind, tropical fruit, citrus, melon, rye, bitterness and some resin. The alcohol content comes in at 6.4%. Having the chance to try out this beer as one of their test batches I would say it is not quite as good as the test batch but if you gauge you excitement level on this beer you are still going to be stoked for this brewery trying this beer!
