NASA has unveiled a new humanoid robot named “Valkyrie,” which is capable of handling advanced and dangerous tasks which only normal humans can do. With a body design that slightly resembles Marvel’s Iron Man, this badass looking robot was made by NASA’s Johnson Space Center in just nine months.

Apparently, NASA wants to use this robot to take a trip to mars. “We want to get to Mars. Likely, NASA will send robots ahead of the astronauts to the planet. These robots will start preparing the way for the human explorers,” said Valkyrie development team leader Nicolaus Radford. Seems like a good idea since it’s going to be a one way trip to Mars. Still, there’s lot to be done with Valkyrie before it takes the trip to Mars and NASA is working hard to make it happen.
