Beekeeping dates back to 650 B.C.E. — when workers, as they still do today, blew smoke into hives as they removed honeycombs, extracting sweetness to create sealed pots of honey for the good graces of the pharaoh’s tombs. Beekeepers oversaw the growth of this highly valued industry — maintaining beehives and pollinating crops to produce jars upon jars of sweet honey. As you well now know, we have quite the bee obsession and have decided to pull together sweet-as-honey songs each month and deliver them to you in the form of an ever-expanding Spotify playlist. Each month will of course have a starting point, in this case, 31 tracks we can’t stop listening to. From there, you’ll see daily additions based on new releases and finds.
