We put this playlist together in the car while on a long trip. I’d say that if I had a cassette tape that could actually fit all of these songs, I’d probably write on it with a gold permanent maker and call it, “The All Day Drive Mixtape.” It’s long and has a lot of songs that you can get lost in during a drive through the desert or some huge mountains; in those moments, these songs really start speaking to you. I love those drives — everyone is asleep and I’m tearing up at the wheel until they wake up, where I pump some Whitney Houston and pretend like I wasn’t just crying alone to a Heart song.
