My sweet, darling pup, Peggy Sue, is currently recovering from her first round of heartworm treatments. That means bed rest for the next 30 days, followed by another round of treatments and then another 30 days without exercise.It's pretty heartbreaking since Peggy is the happiest, most lovable, and most active dog in the world. She loves to run, play fetch, and wrestle with Little Greg, Lou, and all her toys.
But for the next 60 days all we can do is cuddle. I just have to keep reminding myself this this is temporary and in the grand scheme of her life (fingers crossed), it's only a few weeks. She'll be better just in time for the warm weather. And marathon training!
