beck BECKS NEW TRACK I WONT BE LONG [STREAM]

The double entendre is a many edged sword. It can be funny, like a newspaper headline announcing “Local High School Dropouts Cut in Half.” It can be salacious, like naming a Bond girl Pussy Galore. But too often, it can be too obvious (looking at you and your lollipop, Lil Wayne). Beck, on the other hand, easily hurdles this pitfall with his new single entitled, “I Won’t Be Long”, which plays with the passage of time and the future in which he “won’t belong.”  Outside of this wordplay, the song is cheery and melodic on the surface, but remains complex and deep with wide-ranging instrumentation.

The track was released as a standalone 12” single yesterday, so be sure to grab your copy. Beck is also working on an acoustic album, along with the proper follow-up to his 2008 album Modern Guilt.
