So what are the latest releases by the budget beauty brand?
You have more than likely seen the new Lip VIP Lipsticks in and around the beauty blogging world as of recent - everybody seems to be enjoying them. As makeup enthusiasts, we appear to be continuously searching for something that has a cheaper price tag than a MAC lipstick but of equal pigmentation, finish and lasting power. I think there are lots of great lipstick ranges on the high street, but could this be a new contender when it comes to a matte finish?
First off, I actually really like the packaging. I love the little blob of color in the clear encasing at the end of the bullet, giving you an accurate representation of what the lipstick shade actually is. We are forever left with a little coloured sticker on the bottom of the tube that just doesn’t match the shade inside, aren’t we? The lipsticks give a semi-matte finish which have an extremely velvety texture on the lips, they are much more comfortable than your stereotypical drying matte finish. They are highly pigmented and give an opaque coating in just a few sweeps. If you are not drinking/eating, they seem to last a pretty long time too… I am all for the shades Night Spot and Reserved!
The i-Divine Eyeshadow Palettes are some of the best palettes circulating the high street. For only £7.99 you are presented with 12 shades that are pigmented enough to show up on the lid and buttery enough to blend. Granted, they are not your Urban Decay Naked shadows, but for a fraction of the price they do a mighty fine job. The two new additions to the range are the All Night Long and A New Day palettes. All Night Long’s shades are named after alcoholic drinks, which I just find delightful, and are a combination of warm golden, bronze and nude hues. Whilst the A New Day palette takes you back to basics with simple soft peaches and browns for an everyday look. I can’t wait to create some looks using these…
I am really over the moon that my local Boots finally have a Sleek stand in there – it is about time! I have really enjoyed the products that I have tried from the brand so far so I am excited to have a little browse and pick a few more things up. I love shopping at counters rather than online when it comes to makeup, I adore being able to swatch my little life away and walk off with a multi-coloured hand…
Let me know if you have checked out any of the new products by Sleek, if not, are there any that you are eyeing up? When it comes to lipsticks, are you satin, or matte? Nude, or bright? Let me know in the comments down below, thanks for reading!
