Urban Decay are the epitome of everything bright and colourful when it comes to makeup, but they are also pretty bomb at neutral stuff too. I thought I'd give their Naked range a whirl...
I'm not too outrageous with my makeup, so these style of products suit me perfectly. I have some of the larger Naked palettes and they are some of my favorite eyeshadows to use, but apart from that, I don't own too much of the brand - so as you can imagine, this was super exciting for me! I started off with the Naked Skin Beauty Balm (£23.50), a light but buildable coverage that blurs the skin and covers any imperfections. It's a demi-matte finish, which I was genuinely surprised with at first I thought it was going to be too matte for my preference. I can see myself reaching for this when I don't need a 'full-on' face.
I set my brows in place with their Brow Tamer (£15), a fine comb with a clear gel that keeps hairs in place nicely. Before applying some eyeshadows from the Naked Basics Palette (£23) I patted some of their original Primer Potion (£16) onto my lids to make sure that the products wouldn't move throughout the day - and they didn't! Like I mentioned, I love Urban Decay eyeshadows and these are no different, slightly warmer than my already owned Naked Basics 2, I used three shades to create a, well, naked and basic look! My favorite for everyday wear. Before applying two luscious coats of my regular mascara, I went in with the Subversion Lash Primer (£15.50) to add some little white fibres to elongate each individual lash. I can definitely see this becoming a regular occurrence in my routine as I definitely seen a difference in my flutter!
For my cheeks I reached for their Naked Flushed Palette (£23), where you have everything under one compact. The bronze tone is cool enough to shape, but warm enough to add some warmth, the blush adds the perfect rosiness and actually stays around (most blushes don't!), and the highlight adds glow. The handiest little compact I ever did come across! To finish the look I added the Revolution Lipstick in the shade 'Naked' (£15) which is quite possibly my favorite new nude. It's slightly matte and applies fully pigmented like a dream. It's the perfect every day shade that completes the look. After a spritz of the B6 Prep Spray (£22) and my look was complete. I AM IN LOVE.
I've been completely converted to the rest of UD's products and I am definitely going to pick up the Naked Skin Concealer sometime soon as it's so raved about! Let me know in the comments below some of your favorite products by the brand and what you think of this look. Thanks for reading!
