I've spoken about the practice of socially conscious spending and it's something that I remain committed to because I just feel better about supporting brands that align with my values. This is a minor and easy way to be an ethical and morally responsible consumer. As well as avoiding beauty companies with questionable ethics and business practices, I've also been conscious of staying away from brands that still test on animals.
