I'm not gonna lie, there's six products, not five. I just have too many good things to talk about so I thought I'd throw a little extra in there for the new year good luck!
I'm going to start with this little extra because it's so little and that's the Illamasqua Hydra Veil Primer (£32) sample that I received with one of my latest orders. I love their Radiance Veil Primer (£32) so I had high hopes for this little bad boy and boy, did it deliver!
It's a really strange, jelly consistency but a little certainly goes a long way as the gel melts into the skin on contact. You certainly can feel a huge surge of moisture and hydration upon application, which creates an amazing base for foundation. For these cold winter times, it certainly works a dream on making my makeup look amazing!
Sticking with Illamasqua, their Bronzing Duo (£27) and Angled Brush (£29.50) combination has been giving my face life over the past few weeks - I've reached for nothing else. They are the perfect partners in crime to give me chiselled cheekbones and help hide that newly found double chin that Christmas kindly gave me (I joke!).
The brush is dense enough to apply product, yet soft enough to blend the bronzer as you go so that you don't get any streaks. I'd definitely stay away if your of a paler skin tone as it most likely won't suit, but if you can handle a bit of the bronze, they're definitely ones to get yours mitts on.
To go alongside the bronzing, I have been reaching for a certain highlighter palette to add glow to that sculpt. The Sleek Highlighting Palette in Solstice (£9.99) has been a favorite of many of the past year, and for good reason too!
Upon first glance, it's a bit of a strange one. I mean, why would I want a purple or orange glow to my face, surely that looks weird, RIGHT? WRONG! Mixed together these powders create the ultimate dramatic glow that makes you sparkle like no other (no glitter unfortunately!). When it hits the light it reveals such a beautiful sheen to the face, like your a gorgeous, glowing, goddess! YAS.
I've been switching up my eyeliner game recently, opting for a brown liquid liner instead of a typical black and wow, I have loved the results! The Eye of Horus Liquid Define (£15) has been in my collection for a while and it's only recently I have loved using it.
It's the perfect shade to compliment my eyes and looks so pretty and different to my usual eye look. It's subtle, yet stunning and I bloomin' love it.
To go alongside my wings, I have fell head over heels for a new mascara for the first time in a long time! The Soap and Glory Thick & Fast Mascara (£7.50) is absolutely ceeeeeraaazay, where has it been all my blogging life, huh?
A quick wipe of the wand when it comes out of the tube and onto the lashes in two applications and bob's your uncle. It's another one of those that totally transforms my lashes into fluttery beings and ticks all the boxes of qualities you want in a mascara! GO BUY IT NOW. YOU'LL LOVE IT!
So that's a round up of some of the products that I have been totally grateful for when they've made my hangover face a little bit more publically acceptable. What makeup items have you been reaching for lately? G'wan, add to my lust list!
