I have been exploring my own makeup stash a lot lately. In doing so I have found some buried treasures, lost love ones and even undiscovered items from months gone by. One item has impressed me so much that I decided to dedicate an entire post to it — Covergirl Bombshell Shine Shadow. The gold goddess in particular. Oddly enough I have not been using it as an eyeshadow. Nope! I’ve been using it as a highligher.
Peaks, Bridge & Bow
Covergirl Bombshell Shine Shadow works great as a highlighter for my makeup looks. I take a little on my index finger and dab it down the bridge of my nose, over my cupids bow, and on the peaks of my cheeks. I must say I really like the effect it gives me. It blends out okay especially for the cost. I’d also say it’s pretty good if you’re looking for something quick and easy. Many highlighting products from higher end brands like MAC, NARS, Make Up For Ever (MUFE) can be up to four times the price up this little drugstore gem.

A Multi-Dimensional Eyeshadow
Covergirl Bombshell Shine Shadow comes in a tube so although it’s described as an eyeshadow, it’s more of a pigment or base in my opinion. It has a bunch of tiny reflective particles in it which makes its finish multi-dimensional. It’s great for brightening the inner ducts of your eyes or adding a lot of drama to an existing eyeshadow. The formula is pretty lightweight and promises up to 12 hours of wear.
3D Lips Too!
Another great thing to try is creating a 3D lip. Covergirl Bombshell Shine Shadow would probably be great for that too. Add it to the center of your lips to create a stronger pout or even make your lips appear plumper.
