Drumroll please, ladies and gents — South London’s very own BAY is coming at us with another excellent, jazzy, electro track. Even more addicting than our lingering favorite, ”With You”, “Honey” has taken the band’s sophisticated, pop-party obsession to a whole new level of pleasantly dysfunctional.
Stepping up to the plate with sweet, well-structured synth sounds, BAY successfully fuses together sharp vocals and punches with chiming instrumentals and delicately placed tech elements. “Honey”, very simply, is a tightly bound, brilliantly structured sensation that shows off the band’s inherent musical genius. Fortunately, we can expect the same delicious lyrical repetitions and unexpected electro drops. Simply put, this track leaves us in a never-ending craze from start to finish.
With every inch covered in surprising flourishes, “Honey” explodes with an overwhelming mix of deep electros, clever keyboard riffs and an insatiable sax, making this amazing tune an indicator that BAY’s, thankfully, here for us for good and good on us forever.
