Battlefield Hardline’s launch won’t be another Battlefield 4
Battlefield Hardline developer Visceral Games is not looking to repeat the launch issues of Battlefield 4.
Many Battlefield fans are worried that Battlefield Hardline will suffer unforeseen issues on day one, having been stung by the horrific launch of Battlefield 4.
Speaking to Gamespot, lead multiplayer designer Thad Sasser said that judging from the way the two betas went, and the amount of work they’ve put into the backend, the team at Visceral is confident Hardline launch won’t be a repeat of Battlefield 4′s.
“You can clearly see our efforts have paid off with the stability of the most recent beta; the beta we just had was pretty smooth. Obviously we expected to collect some problems, and we did. We found a number of interesting issues that we’ve since addressed and fixed; crashes and so on, particularly on the PC client,” he said.
Sasser added that they’ve built on what they learned from the betas, along with the work DICE LA did with Battlefield 4′s Community Test Environment.
“We’ve incorporated a lot of their changes and a lot of their fixes as well. So I think, altogether, we’re in far better shape and we’re really looking forward to a stable launch.”  Battlefield Hardline is available starting March 17 on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
