Battleborn - the next game from Gearbox Software - developer of Borderlands, Brothers In Arms and Alien: Colonial Marines - is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. According to Game Informer’s cover reveal, Battleborn is "a fusion of first-person shooting and loot-grabbing RPG elements in a living comic book art style." The Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC game also features creeps, quick leveling, and unique heroes comparable to MOBAs like Dota 2 and League of Legends, all wrapped around a "dramatic story" in its five-player cooperative campaign. It will also feature 5v5 competitive multiplayer, of course. “As a genre-fused, hobby-grade, cooperative and competitive FPS exploding with eye-popping style and an imaginative universe," said Gearbox president Randy Pitchford, "Battleborn is the most ambitious video game that Gearbox has ever created." Battleborn's story takes place in a "distant future, the only hope for the last star in a dying universe is a new breed of warriors, who must put aside their differences to drive back an unstoppable menace." Gearbox and 2K plan to release Battleborn in 2015.
