The Bellevue Fire- Rescue Department will be creating an eligibility list for the position of Battalion Chief. The department currently looks to fill one open position. The Battalion Chief position requires skills and abilities in managing and extinguishing fires, performing rescues, supervises emergency medical services (as assigned), conducting fire safety inspections and education, apparatus driving and operational actions, participation in training programs as well as station , vehicle and equipment maintenance as all detailed within the Firefighter Job Description for the department. In addition, the Battalion Chief position directly assists the Fire Chief with program management, implementation and reporting, human resources, and direct suppor t to Fire Officers.
