Dry shampoo has always been a constant in my haircare routine. As someone who doesn’t wash their hair daily, and instead washes it every 2-3 days, dry shampoo delivers that instant boost and refresher to my hair on the in between days. Not only does it leave the hair looking cleaner and fresher by absorbing any excess oil, it gives the hair some body and texture as well, making it easier to style.
Batiste recently launched a number of new dry shampoos to their collection and today I’ll be sharing my thoughts on a few of them!
Batiste Neon Lights Dry Shampoo
Be bright, bold and vivacious with the new limited edition Batiste Neon Lights Dry Shampoo, bursting with fruity pomegranate and jasmine fragrance.
If you’re not a fan of that typical dry shampoo scent, you might want to try this one as it has a gorgeous fresh, fruity scent. The can also states that the fragrance is long lasting, tested to last over 4 hours. Whilst I didn’t exactly time how long the scent lasts on the hair, a few hours after application, I could definitely smell a light waft of scent so for those who find that their hair picks up unwanted scents throughout the day, this would be a great dry shampoo to try as it’ll lightly fragrance the hair whilst also refreshing the hair.
Batiste XXL Volume Dry Shampoo
Turn up the volume! XXL brings you the legendary revitalising benefits of Batiste dry shampoo with ultimate volumising power. From dull limp hair to big & bounty locks in an instant!
Now available in a giant 400ml can, I’ve previously discussed this dry shampoo in a past blog post as it’s a wonderful dry shampoo if you’re looking for more of a boost to the hair, compared to just the usual dry shampoo result of creating a less greasy appearance as this is one of the few dry shampoos that does deliver some noticeable volume to the hair. The formula smells lovely and leaves no white, uncomfortable residue on the hair once worked in.
Batiste Strength & Shine Dry Shampoo
Daily hair styling can cause your hair to become weak, brittle and tired looking. That’s why Batiste created the Strength and Shine Dry Shampoo, enriched with L-Arganine – an amino acid known to stimulate the hairs follicles. A quick burst instantly refreshes your hair between washes and helps it to look and feel stronger, shinier and altogether gorgeous!
This was the dry shampoo I was most excited to try as quite a few dry shampoos on the market work really well but they leave a matte, dry looking finish. I found this dry shampoo to work nicely in absorbing any excess oil on my hair and giving it a more refreshed finish. The formula is slightly lighter and therefore easier to work into the hair compared to the other 2 dry shampoos whilst also reducing the chance of a white, powdery finish. The shine delivered is very natural so there’s no need to worry about it creating a greasy finish.
The Batiste Neon Lights Dry Shampoo, XXL Volume Dry Shampoo and Strength and Shine Dry Shampoo are available from Priceline and Batiste stockists.
