Bask in Winter’s Hazy Fresh Track ‘the View’ [premiere]

The season of hot and sticky seeps out of Winter’s “The View”, a hallucinatory summer daydream that goes straight to your head. An accurate soundtrack for being young and heartbroken, the song seems to bubble and float away, nearly escaping our grasp, but remains grounded by an excellent string refrain that makes the song sound exactly as cinematic as heartache feels. As we listen, Winter succeeds in inducing a mental montage of nostalgia and summertime snapshots, but we’re we’re more than happy to host the intrusion. Hazy and warm, “The View” is a full-bodied track that makes these Boston shoegazers more than worthy of being your next band love.
