During a recent trip into Boots for some silver shampoo I somehow found myself in the make up aisles in front of the Barry M stand. I have a lot of their Gelly Hi-Shine polishes, but one I’ve been lusting after but never came across was Sugar Apple from their Spring collection. So naturally when I spotted one left I had to buy it. Sugar Apple is a gorgeous muted turquoise mint shade and is the perfect pastel polish.
However… with all of Barry M’s lighter shades, there is an issue with the consistency. I had to apply three or four coats for full coverage as the formula is slightly runny and hard to get even. To counteract this though, the polish is super shiny and doesn’t need a top coat. I got three days coverage out of this manicure, with a camogie match included.
To jazz it up I stuck a big ol’ diamante jewel on as an accent nail because I got sent a few nail goodies from Born Pretty store to try out and it included lots of different size nail jewels! Also featuring my favorite gold ring from Now Seen, a labradorite scribbler ring (and some random stacker rings too). This Sugar Apple Barry M shade will set you back €5.99 in Boots and there’s a ‘buy one get one half price’ promotion running atm so no better reason to buy some new nail polishes
