Here are my thoughts on the 4 different products:

GEN NUDE Matte Liquid Lipcolours & Buttercream Lipglosses

The Matte Liquid Lipcolours  (‘swag’ & ‘extra’) are said to provide a long wearing, pigmented, cream to matte formula that is moisturising. The lip colours smell beautifully of vanilla icing and have a lovely light texture for a matte product. The formula has a soft silicone feel which allows the product to apply easily over the lips, providing a smooth finish that is light and neither drying nor stripping of the lips. The pigmentation could also be built up a layer and best done without applying too much pressure (as otherwise the base shade had a slight tendency to move). With a wear time of about 4 hours before reapplication, the liquid lip colours wore well throughout the day. Interestingly, I received 2 tubes of the shade ‘Swag’ (my favorite shade), however, they actually photograph differently in the tube and in swatches so that was a little confusing! However, it’s a real winner in my books as I love the shade and finish of the product.

The Buttercream Lipglosses (‘forbidden’ & ‘minx’) promise a nourishing and conditioning finish to the lips. Again, the product smells great and applied quite nicely – the formula isn’t too thick or thin, providing a nice glossy finish to the lips. I’ve recently began to apply a light touch of gloss to the middle of the lips, on top of lipstick for a soft glossy and plumping effect and this product works well in that application. The formula isn’t overly heavy and has a light tackiness which enables to the gloss to last longer on the lips.

GEN NUDE Radiant Lipsticks

The Radiant Lipsticks come in simple, sleek black packaging and promises a creamy, medium coverage with a balmy shine. The lipsticks apply like a lip balm as they glide onto the lips with a creamy feel. I found them to be quite versatile as you could apply either apply it quite sheer or slightly build up the finish to a light-medium. The formula is hydrating, light and creamy, lasting a good couple of hours before needing to retouch. My favorite shade is kitty as I found it to apply really beautifully and provide a lovely touch of colour  and shine to the lips, even on top of other lipsticks. Unfortunately I found the shade ‘controversy’ to be a little too light in pigmentation, making it slightly difficult to apply evenly.

GEN NUDE Under Over Lip Liners

The lip liners come in 5 shades and are a versatile product that can be used traditionally, under lip products or over a lip color to further define your pout. With creamy finish that doesn’t leave the liner prone to breakage, I found the formula to be easy to apply and nicely pigmented, to help line and define the lips. Used as a base (applied all over the lips), the formula worked well and didn’t leave the lips dry. My favorite shade from the range is Vibe, which is a dark mauvey-nude shade that works well with an array of shades.
