So having just seen the update on the Banksy site, it seems that today there was a small stall in Central Park where Mr Banksy (though another stall keeper) was selling original artworks on canvas for just $60 a pop
What really makes me laugh here is that a lot of people probably made the assumption that these were fakes because of the price – UNREAL! I am sure there would’ve been people snapping these up if they were on sale in London, no matter the price.
Total sales on the day $420 – it’s interesting to see how people even react, everyone seems so nonchalant when purchasing. Genius example of a social experiment.
