Balls and Cocktails…For the Holidays of Course!

A few of my favorite things. Sausage Balls and Cider. You can’t go wrong.
Sausage Balls:
Ingredients:1 1/2 cups biscuit mix 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese 1 pound fresh, ground pork sausage
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. In a large bowl, mix together biscuit mix, Cheddar cheese, and sausage. Roll mixture into walnut-size balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Or foil-lined cookie sheet3. Bake at 350 degrees for 5 to 15 minutes, or until completely cooked and browned. 4. Serve HOT!
Hot Cider for Adults:
Ingredients1 quart water 3 orange spice tea bags 1/2 cup light brown sugar2 cups apple cider 1 1/2 cups light rum 8 cinnamon sticks 3 teaspoons butter
Directions
1. Pour water into a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and toss in the orange spice tea bags. Cover and let steep 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and stir in sugar, apple cider, rum, and 2 of the cinnamon sticks. Heat just to steaming -- do not boil. 2. Ladle hot cider into 6 mugs and drop 1/2 teaspoon butter into each. Garnish with a cinnamon "swizzle" stick.
Now sit back, relax and enjoy this festive ‘get in the mood for the holidays’ video:
