If you aren't familiar with Bakerdays they offer an online service to order cakes for all sorts of occasions including a letterbox size cake which makes a lovely present or surprise to send to someone.
So here is the cake I chose.
I love the tin that the cake comes in which means it is kept safe whilst in transit and you have a little storage tin once the cake is eaten!
There are even instructions and a tab to help you remove the cake from the tin.
Most of the cakes can be personalised and if I had wanted I could have even sent a photo to have been put on the cake but I loved the little birds on this cake so just had our names added! 
There was even a bag inside the box with balloons and candles which is a nice touch.
The true test is the taste and I am really pleased to say it did not disappoint the cake was a lovely rich chocolate and went down a treat in our house (my seven year old son was a huge fan!!).I was also pleased to see that there are several options for the filling including dairy free and gluten free which is ideal if you have allergies. The ingredients are also listed on the bottom of the cake so you know what you are eating and the cake was lovely and fresh upon arrival.
Not only do Bakerdays have a fab range of cakes they also offer cupcakes which again can be personalised depending on the occasion.
Overall I have to say I am very impressed and for me I think this makes a nice change to sending flowers as you can personalise what you send and after all who doesn't like cake!!!
Now please excuse me whilst I finish the rest of this cake with a nice cup of tea!!
