Baileys Truffles

By Tejal Hewitt @Tejal_x

It’s that time of year where you start making truffles specially liquor truffles.

I opted for more well known Baileys Truffles, but you can get very adventurous and try whiskey, rum and even kirsch truffles. These may get made over the next week if I get some time!

These little guys do make some good gifts, specially if packaged nicely, either in cup cake boxes and even in cellophane wrap with some ribbon.

I decided to put a few into a cup cake case and then into a matching cup cake box. I do love making edible and DIY Christmas presents, it may cost sometimes more than a box of chocolates, but making it your self adds the extra love!

100g dark chocolate
50g butter

2 tbsp Chocolate Milkshake Powder

Break up chocolate and add butter to a glass bowl

Melt the chocolate and butter over steam on the hob, stir every so often but not too much as may go as little lumpy otherwise.

Allow to completely melt and take off the heat.

Add cream and baileys

Whisk well with a fork

Using a small scoop roll into a bowl quickly as this can be messy

Place back in the fridge for another 30mins to set again and enjoy! Keep in the fridge when storing.
