Badass Steampunk Motorcycle Gets Powered by a Steam Engine

Forget electric motorcycles and incredibly fast Moto GP bikes, this amazing steampunk style motorcycle is the grand father of all bikes. It gets powered by a real steam engine that actually works. Behold! The Black Pearl.

Dutch motorcycle builder René van Tuil is a fan of old-school designs. His latest creation, the Black Pearl (named after Jack Sparrow’s ship) uses an actual steam engine to power up the bike.

Shovel in some coal and this motorcycle can take you up to a top speed of 8 kilometers per hour.

The discovery of the steam engine not only brought us to where we are today, but revolutionized the ways of transportation. Although, I bet Thomas Savery would have never even imagined his creation being used to power up a motorcycle.
