Back to the Future Hoverboard is Finally Real, Tony Hawk Gives It a Whirl

The news came up with a video and a website that suddenly appeared online, which shows Tony Hawk testing out this awesome-looking howerboard which gets handed out from Back to the Future’s Christopher Lloyd (Doc Brown). According to this website, these working hoverboards will hit the stores in December, 2014.

Oh! I almost forgot to tell you, this is not a real thing. Obviously these guys needs to come up with a better lie than claiming to find “the key to antigravity.” Also not to mention the lack of information on the website. And check out this screenshot from the video, that shadow reveals something hooked up to the back of this guy. It does look pretty cool, though.

Even though this may not be real, in the past couple of years, many companies showed-off their projects to launch a working hoverboard. Back in 2013, a company even launched an Indiegogo campaign with $1 million goal, promising to make hoverboards. The project went down the dumpster garnering only $3,000 dollars. However, the folks behind that project, Haltek Industries also claims to have a hoverboard in the works to launch in 2015.
