The most favored members of my summer wardrobe are the dresses. Their ease and versatility put them ahead of all the rest. On my vacation last week,  I lived in bathing suits by day and dresses by night. Lately though, I feel a bit of deja-vu whenever I step into a store in search of a new frock. All of the dresses seem to look the exact same. The maxi, the fit and flare, and the ever popular spaghetti strap-that's-loose-yet-cinched-at-the-waist (aka the dress you wear when you feel fat). You catch my drift.
I've been guilty in the past of purchasing dress after nearly identical dress, but I've recently put a stop to it. Lately I've added some criteria to my dress shopping. For it to be worthy of my hard earned cash, it needs to have something to make it stand out in a crowd. A bold print, an unusual fabric choice, etc. That's why I love this alternative to an average summer dress (above). It's like the mullet of dresses. Business in front, then spin a round and wala- A surprise cut out back! And did I mention it has pockets? Whomever began incorporating pockets into dresses and skirts is a genius. Kudos to you my friend!
That said, I've found five gorgeous and versatile dresses that I love. Each under $100, will seamlessly transition you into fall, and boast their own interesting detail!
