Back In The Dempster Again

By Theomnipotentq @TheMightyQuinn
On my Trivia Nights, there's only so much of the Red Sox games I can concentrate on. I watched most of the game when it was a scoreless tie going into the sixth.
Jon Lester was terrific going into that inning, allowing the heavy-hitting Rangers just two hits. But they finally broke through with two runs in both the sixth and seventh innings, and that was the night for Lester.
Will Middlebrooks blasted a pinch-hit three-run homer in the seventh. It was reviewed to make sure it had cleared the wall and no fans had reached over.
Dustin Pedroia was tossed out of the game in the ninth inning after arguing with first base ump Paul Nauert over a check-swing he was called out on in the eighth inning.
But 4-3 was as close as the Sox would come. The pen allowed single runs in the 8th and 9th, and that was it, 6-3.
Too much Ryan Dempster again, as he allowed three unearned runs on Middlebrooks' blast. (Ian Kinsler committed an error on the batter before the home run.) Dempster also befuddled the Sox back in June, pitching eight shutout innings at a game at Wrigley Field as a member of the Cubs.
Back to one game under .500. The yo-yo act continues.
